Hi,
I just came back from seeing Ken and there is no change in June's condition today. That is upsetting as they cannot do the breathing tests to try to get her off the respirator. The blood thinner is doing its job, but it causes her to bleed. Until that stops they cannot do the breathing tests. It is a fine line. Ken says it is like being on a tightrope. His daughter from Virginia is with him today.
It is also Ken's birthday today. I took him a funny card and a large Hershey Bar. (Of course chocolate!) It made him smile.
Just a reminder, visitors are not allowed in the Critical Care Unit. Only family members are allowed. Do not come to the hospital to see June. You will not be allowed into the Unit. We will let you know when visitors are allowed.
