2012 General Grand Chapter in Ft. Worth
We had a great time in Ft. Worth at General Grand Chapter and especially enjoyed seeing our own PGM John Grobler go from Acting MWGP to Most Worthy Grand Patron, and our PGM Joy Lough installed as Worthy Grand Ruth along with all of our GG Committee members. There were over 50 Washington members there.
We started off with a fun day at the Stockyards capped off with a BBQ and rodeo (the cows won)! Then it was on to the many festivities of General Grand: Estarl Service, Memorial, Youth introductions, business, resolutions, closing and installation! That doesn't include the endless meals and social time. It was wonderful.
One resolution of note that was adopted: first and second female cousins of Master Masons can now join. It's not as much as we hoped to accomplish, but I'm sure many of you can find some cousins who want to join and it didn't say how many times removed they could be.
My pictures are below in order by the date they were taken. Took them all with my phone, so the quality might not be as great as the ones Rodger will be sending soon, but it will give you some idea of the goings on.

Hands Across the Border - May 5, 2012
We had a great time at Hands Across the Border with our friends from Alberta, BC & Yukon, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and here in Washington. We even had visitors from other jurisdictions and the place was packed! The theme was "vintage glitz", the food was delicious and the entertainment - consisting of skits from the 6 jurisdictions - was fabulous. It was exciting to hear the announcements for the next triennium and we look forward to great times with Bobbi and John.

2009 - General Grand Update #3
Hello everyone,
We finished the resolutions and had the elections today. Here are the results.
Elections: RWG Secretary - Alma Lynn Bane, PGM Texas
RWAG Conductress - Marianne Shenefelt, PGM Wyoming
RWG Sentinel - Robert Penoyer, PGP Pennsylvania
Grand Trustee - Betty Briggs, PGM Iowa
All others moved up the line.
Our WGM, Sister Marge, did an excellent job of nominating Brother John Grobler for the position of RWAG Patron. Our WGP, Brother Dennis, seconded the nomination.
Resolutions:
#28 - Would add all elected GGC Officers as ex-officio members of the Board of RW Grand Trustees.
#30 - Would amend procedures for filling vacancies of Elected GGC Officers at Triennial Assemblies.
#32 - Would remove the "out-of-office for at least three (3) years or one triennium" requirememt before a RW Grand Trustee becomes eligible for candidacy to another elected office.
#33 - Would permit the use of the Square and Compasses upon the Bible if permitted by the Grand Lodge concerned. Note:(Texas already does this.)
#35 - Clarifies use of the term "candidates" as opposed to "New Members". Also ammended to replace "crippled" to "disabled".
#43 - Clarifies certain responsibilities of the Office of the RWG Secretary as set forth in the Constitution and Bylaws.
We began the morning with a joint breakfast of the West Virginia members and Washington members. It was nice to meet those we will be working with for the next 6 years. Washington wore our green jackets and West Virginia wore their red jackets. I have included several photos.
I am including pictures of the decorations in the Grand East. They include a stained glass Cherokee Emblem, an eagle carved out of wood, a small buffalo of which there are two, the pedestals in the Grand East that have dream catchers inside the glass, and the Indian Paint Brush (flower) and yellow mums.
You can also see your WGM and WGP in front of the large white buffalo. #031 is where the WGM has the bull by the horns, with WGP ready to catch her if needed. We are having fun.
One last picture with PGP J. Paul Fitsimmons, Florence, and Margaret Sherman as they are reading the paper.

General Grand Chapter - 2009
Our first report from PGM Diane Osborne at General Grand Chapter in Tulsa.
Hi,
Well, we are having fun. We were in a march this morning. We made an Indian Headdress. I guess it was neat. Dennis is loving the huge buffalo in the East. The large Teepee is huge. The GGCO's came out of the teepee when they were introduced.
I have a list of 51 people that I have seen from Washington. I believe there are 19 past Grands.

Dennis Okicich carried the Washington flag when John Grobler and Barbara were introduced.
Today we saw a drill team from Georgia. I have sent some pictures.
We start the business tomorrow.
The Spirit Choir is very good. We have really enjoyed the music. Picture included.
Last night at the Banquet we heard a Children's Indian Choir. They were very good. I forgot my camera so I have no pictures.
I'll get close ups of some of our members tomorrow in their outfits.
