Dear Eastern Star Members,

            It is time to start planning our various Grand Chapter activities for June. WGM Stephanie and WGP Rodger have asked Charlie and me to arrange the Grand Chapter Tour this year. We plan to repeat our very successful tour from 2012 which was so popular with our members and out of State guests. This will be a special tour on Sunday rather than during the business meeting so more of our members can participate. We hope that many of you will be able to join us.

            The tour is designed for both Washington members and our out of state visitors. We encourage the Grand Representatives to invite their counterparts to come a day early and join us. We have arranged the times so the escorts of next year’s Deputy Instructors can join us while the new Deputies are in their meeting on Sunday. Here are the details of the Sunday Tour:

Leave the Clarion in Yakima at 9 am return around 3 pm. Stops include: Toppenish Murals, Yakima Nation Cultural Center & Museum, Sunday Brunch at Legends Casino, then on to Prosser and Chukar Cherries, Yellow Rose Nursery & the Prosser Vintner's Village which features 15 individual wineries.

The charge for the complete tour will be $45. This includes bus rental and driver, admission to museum (appx $4) and Brunch at $16 including tip. There will be lots of opportunities for gift and souvenir shopping at many of our stops.

Our main event this year is the Sunday Tour. Please make your reservations for this special OES Yakima Valley Tour as soon as possible as seating is limited to only 40. Enclosed is the tour reservation form.
