This morning (July 6th)
Nancy Breza had her
scheduled double mastectomy – WGP Bob called me shortly after 11 AM
to say that she was out of surgery and all went very well - the surgeon said
there were "no surprises" and that was a very good thing. Then
he called me about noon to say she was in recovery and they had just given her
something for pain. Just a couple minutes ago I got off the phone with
Nancy - she sounds great! Of course she is surgery sore but her spirits
are excellent. It was very comforting for me to be able to talk to her
and know she is okay.
The doctors still expect her to be able to
go home later this afternoon and Bob will let me know if that indeed happens.
So, once again the power of prayer works -
please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through
the recovery process from this surgery. She will be having radiation but
they will let her recover from surgery before starting those sessions.
