On Thursday, May 25, Brother Al, Sister Terry, Sister Sheryl and I pulled into Train Station #8 in Benton City, where we had the pleasure of announcing Sister CATHY HINZE of Roza Chapter as the new Grand Esther for the 2017-18 Dancing Lights Grand Family.  Sister Cathy’s escort will be her husband, Steve Hinze.  Eight Past Grand Esther’s enjoyed the meeting along with the many members in attendance.  It was a fun night for all!

Pilgrim's 100th


Pilgrim Chapter #157 (in Sequim) is gearing up to celebrate being 100 years old.  The party will be held on August 19, 2017 in Sequim.  Sequim will be dark then, so this will be a come-one, come-all party in vacationland!

On Tuesday, May 16, Brother Al, Sister Terry, Sister Sheryl and I pulled into Train Station #7 in Millwood, where we enjoyed the honor night for Grand Representative Aril Baldwin (Utah).  We then had the pleasure of announcing Sister ARIL BALDWIN of Magnolia Chapter as the new Grand Chaplainthe 2017-18 Dancing Lights Grand Family.  Sister Aril’s escort will be her brother, PGP Phil Green.  Three Past Grand Chaplain’s enjoyed the meeting along with the many members in attendance.  It was a fun night for all!

On Monday, May 15, Brother Al, Sister Terry, Sister Sheryl and I pulled into Train Station #6 in Parkland, where we had the pleasure of announcing Sister PATRICIA DEMUTH of Faith Chapter as the new Grand Adah the 2017-18 Dancing Lights Grand Family.  Sister Patricia’s escort will be her husband Paul.  Ten Past Grand Adah’s enjoyed the meeting along with the many members in attendance.  We also welcomed Faith Chapter's newest 50-year member, who received that honor from the Grand Chapter of Florida.  It was a fun night for all!

On Friday, May 12, Brother Al, Sister Terry, Sister Sheryl and I pulled into Train Station #5 in Renton, where we had the pleasure of announcing Sister TESS KENT of Nesika Chapter as the new Grand Martha the 2017-18 Dancing Lights Grand Family.  Sister Tess’ escort will be her husband Chuck.  Three Past Grand Martha’s (including me!), 5 Past Grand Matrons and 4 Past Grand Patrons enjoyed the meeting along with the many members in attendance.  It was a fun night for all!

Floral Initiation

Floral Chapter #117 in Monroe will be adding 4 new members on May 15th.  This should be a great evening.  Why?  The current Rainbow Girls State Mother Advisor, Robin Martin, is the presiding Worthy Matron and the initiates will include the current Grand Worthy Advisor, May Powell, Grand Recorder, Kylee Morris, Bothell Rainbow Dad, Gary McPherson, and his wife Paula.  There will be a potluck dinner at 6:30pm, initiation at 7:30pm and a purse auction to follow.

Tonight (May 1st) I traveled to Oasis Chapter, Ephrata to present Barbara Shay with the commission to Vermont. To say she was surprised is an understatement. There were several former Representatives and even one former representative to Vermont. This is so much fun to do.
