Thursday night, April 27, Brother Al, Sister Terry, Sister Sheryl and I had the pleasure of traveling to Port Orchard Chapter to announce ROSE GROSS as the new Grand Marshal for the 2017-18 Dancing Lights Grand Family. Brother Brian Gross will be her escort. Among the many who enjoyed the meeting were 2 current Grand Marshals (Paula Sonker (Washington) and John Chamberlain (Idaho)) and 10 Past Grand Marshals. Thank you all for being with us last night! More to be announced . . . . .

Bud Holm, Poulsbo Chapter has passed away.  Services will be on May 30th at 7:30 pm at Warren G. Harding Lodge in Poulsbo.

Grand Lodge Photo Archive

The Grand Lodge photo archive located at phanfare.com is being discontinued.  Phanfare has been acquired by SmugMug and the Photography committee for Grand Lodge is in the process of moving all photos to the new SmugMug site.  I will keep you updated when it is available for use.  You can still access the existing photos on the phanfare site until May 28th.

GWAR Invitation

The WA-ID International Order of the Rainbow for Girls will be hosting the Grand Worthy Advisor's Reception on April 29th.  The Reception will be held at 1pm at Timbercrest Junior High School in Woodinville, WA.  19115 215th Way NE, Woodinville, WA 98077

New Grand Representative

Last night (April 6th) at Alderwood Chapter I had the honor of presenting the Grand Representative of Iowa in Washington to my husband Scott Wallinger.  I gave a numbered envelope to four of our Past Matron's to read.  In each envelope there was facts about Iowa.  I also gave Scott an envelope to read, but before the meeting he had gone to the eye doctor.  We were lucky when it was his turn to read what was in his envelope his eyes were back to normal.  He couldn't believe what he was reading so his comment was "And the Oscar goes to".  This was what was written, New Fact:  Scott Wallinger is the New Grand Representative to Iowa in Washington.
