The Grand Chapter Session Site Selection Committee Wants Your Input!  Section 604 - Constitution, By-laws and Penal Code requires the Site Selection Committee to select a city with adequate Class A housing and an adequate facility for the Annual Session of the Grand Chapter.
At the 2013 session, the membership approved the recommendation of the Site Selection Committee to utilize the city of Yakima and SunDome for sessions 2016 thru 2018.  Based on offers from available cities and facilities, it was apparent none could match or beat the offer of SunDome in all areas of the membership’s requirements.
The committee would like the opinion of the membership for Grand Chapter sessions in the years following 2018. Please visit the Session Site Selection webpage attached to the Washington OES website and participate in the site selection survey.

New Grand Representatives

I traveled to Maple Chapter in Kelso last night (April 9th).  Under Good of the Order I asked the Worthy Matron if I could approach the east.  One of my assistants handed out dark chocolate Hershey kisses to everyone in attendance while 5 other assistants gave out clues about the state.  I then began reading some facts about the state.  Then I read names of people from that state and the last name I read was that of Carol Dunn - the new Grand Representative of Pennsylvania!!!!  She was already seated in the east as she is Junior Past Matron.  She was very surprised but did state that she had distance ties with Pennsylvania.  So it was extra special for her.
Hugs, Eileen Winstead, Grand Marshal

Hi....a busy Wednesday night(April 9th) in our area but at Pine Tree Chapter in Kettle Falls the members celebrated the announcement, made by Bonnie Rail Grand Ruth, that Mary Hagstrom is the new Grand Representative of the District of Columbia... our nation's capital!
We were all quite amazed as Mary had nothing more to say than thank you!
She is the chapter's  JrPM and served as a Lamplighter Deputy Instructor.

King County PM & PP RSVP Deadline

The deadline for RSVP’ to the King County Past Matrons and Past Patrons is fast approaching. You need to have your RSVP into Gladis Rudd no later than April 15th. Gladis’ address is 13407 Greenwood AVE N #319 Seattle WA 98133-7339. Gladis’ phone number is 206-440-1767. The Luncheon is April 18th this year, one week earlier than normal. Whitman/Asotin Past Matron/Patron lunch

Whitman/Asotin Past Matron/Patron lunch will be held on Friday, April 25th, at noon at the Malden Lodge Hall. Lunch cost is $10.00. You may make reservations by calling or writing the Malden Chapter Secretary, Gwelda Henning. She is listed in the Blue Book. I apologize for this delay. Our Past Matron/Patron Secretary has moved, and we got the books late, and the one who agreed to do it, moved to a new house, and then had a week business trip, and the time got away from us all. Please get this message out, and ask everyone to let Malden know that you are coming. They need to know how much food to prepare!!! Margaret Rehberg, WM, Vineland Chapter

"Fund Day"

Vineland Chapter no longer has our dining room, so we have cleaned out our kitchen , and have these items we thought might ‘sell’ at the 'fun-fund-raising day'. I thought if people knew ahead what there is, it may help them. SILVER PLATE: sugar/creamer set; two coffee pots; one coffee pot (lid needs repair); one tea pot; one 5-candle candelabra; one set of silverware, in two chests, with the OES symbol engraved on the handle; 48 glass punch cups; 50 china cups, with OES symbol. Thanks, Margaret Rehberg, WM

Bowling Tournament update!!!!

To: Bowling Fun Day participants
From: Marjorie Bamford, Tournament director

Rodeo Bowl in Ellensburg has gone out of business so we are now scheduled to bowl at the Nob Hill Bowling Center in Yakima. The address is 3807 Nob Hill Blvd.

The date remains April 27, 2014, but the time has changed to 10:00 a.m. This is an accommodation by the bowling alley as they usually open at 11:00.
The registration fee is still $15 per bowler, but the charge to use the facility is now $10.00. This is half what is cost at Rodeo Bowl and covers 4 games: 2 regular games; 9 pin no tap, and Scotch doubles. The price also includes tax and shoes.

Lunch will be available after 11:00 and will be served on the lanes. The restaurant will provide 1 or 2 runners to take orders. There is also a dining room for those who prefer dining away from the lanes.
If you haven’t registered your team, please do so as soon as possible.
