Check out the NEW Washington OES website

The new website is up and running!  It is still a work in process, but we have made lots of progress and are working diligently to complete it.  We welcome your constructive feedback, but ask for your patience as we complete the task of moving from the old site to the new one.

The website address is still:  www.washingtonoes.org.

Busy weekend in Washington

It was a very busy weekend in Washington OES starting with a fantastic golf tournament to benefit Rite Care for children at the Ft. Lewis Golf Course.  The Hammontrees and all their helpers did a great job of coordinating everything and everyone had a wonderful time on the golf course and at the BBQ afterwards where there were prizes aplenty.

On Saturday, the Masonic Center at West Seattle was packed to the rafters for the reception of WGM Gloria and WGP Frank.  Their 4 chapters, Afton, Bethel, Crystal and Belfair, did a great job of moving the meeting along and everyone enjoyed the very warm reception.

Saturday evening we enjoyed a great cookout at the Masonic Park at Granite Falls for Jobie weekend.  There were over 200 Jobies there with plenty of adults to keep them company and the weather was perfect.

2011 - Rainbow Dream Camp

The weather was cool, but the Masonic Park at Granite Falls was full of warmth as we had a wonderful time visiting with all the Rainbow Girls at Dream Camp today.  The breakfast cooked by the Rainbow Dads was delicious and the enthusiasm was contagious.  We need to find a way to bottle it!  GWA Becky LaMastus and her troops are off to a great start.

2011 - Aug 11 - Tacoma OV & 100th Anniversary

Well over 100 members enjoyed a delicious dinner and the official visit of WGM Gloria with WGP Frank.  We were treated to wonderful excerpts from the 100 year history of Tacoma Chapter by WM Donna Benson and WP Sam Parker kept us all in stitches digging his hole ever deeper.

During responses, Grand Martha Jeannette Carroll, with the assistance of a few audience members, gave us some interesting facts about Idaho - including the fact that Pete Cole of Tyler Chapter is the new Grand Representative of Idaho in Washington.  Everyone was thrilled for this well-deserving brother.

Over 100 members gathered for the official visit of WGM Gloria with WGP Frank to Lakeside, Kirkland and Century Chapters in Bellevue.  It was a warm night outside, but the air conditioner was working REALLY well.  The three chapters did a great job of presenting their ritualistic work and we were entertained by a skit with a reporter interviewing OES ladies who live in a retirement community.  Everyone had a wonderful time and there was lots of laughter.
